Some results from investigation on improved technology for silkworm Bombyx mori L. rearing and commercial egg cocoon production in Egypt are shown. It has been determined that in comparison to the traditional technology, applying the improved technology leads to increase of fecundity (number of normal eggs layed per one moth) character with 67–121 (15.12–26.22 %) and yield of standard egg boxes per one reared egg box character with 50–78 (42.25–53.78 %).
