Abstract
NIKOLOV, A. and R. ANDREEV, 2000. Preliminary study of insecticidal activity of Trypsin protease inhibitor (TPI) towards larvae on Yponomeuta malinella Zell. and Hyphantria cunea Drury. in laboratory conditions. Bulg. J. Agric. Sci., 6: 119-121
The Trypsin protease inhibitor (TPI) isolated from seeds of Capsicum annuum in concentrations 0.5% and 1% showed high biological effect against young larvae to Yponomeuta malinella Zell applied directly. Put under the same conditions towards Hyphantria cunea Drury TPI showed 84% and 86% technical activity (T.E) by 120 hour after treatment and slow initial effect was observed. The same inhibitor brought in with the food hadn't show a stomachal effect with respect to young larvae of Hyphantria cunea Drury.
Key words: insecticidal activity, Trypsin protease inhibitor, Yponomeuta malinella Zell
