Technological Characterization of the Most Recent Common Winter Wheat Varieties Created in IWS “Dobroudja”

For a period of four years (1995-1998) the quality of the most recent common winter wheat varieties created in IWS “Dobroudja” (Iveta, Mizia, Galatea, Lilia, Ludogorie and Karat) was studied. The results showed that the varieties Iveta, Lilia, Galatea and Ludogorie completely met the requirements of the milling industry by their structural and mechanical properties.
These varieties possess excellent bread making quality, variety Ludogorie is with moderate breadmaking quality, and that of Karat is satisfactory.
The varieties Iveta, Mizia and Lilia have experimentally proved values for ecological breeding with regard to both the individual quality indices and their combination.
