IVANOVA, E., I. DOBROVOLOV and P. TERSIEVA, 2001. Variability of isoelectrophoretic spectra of total water-soluble proteins depending on honeybee susceptibility to Bacillus larvae. Bulg. J. Agric. Sci., 7: 348-350
Worker bees of two families – normal and abnormal (infected with Bacillus larvae) were compared with isoelectric focusing in ultra-thin polyacrylamide gel. All samples were total extracts of individuals. The extraction was done in distilled water for 18 h at 4 °C. The proteins were developed with Coomassie Brilliant blue 250 G.
There were differences of expression of the water-soluble proteins between analyzed families.
