Faba bean (Vicia faba L.) Response to Seeding Rate, Seeding Date, Rate and Method of Phosphorus Application in a Mediterranean Type Environments

The effect of seeding dates (1st Jan., 15th Jan. and 2nd Feb.), seeding rates (25, 50 and 75 plants m–2), phosphorus levels (0, 17.5, 35.0 and 52.5 kg P ha–1) and two methods of P-placement (banding and broadcast) were investigated at the semi-arid region in north of Jordan. High yields were obtained by early seeding (1st Jan), high seeding rate (75 plants m–2), and P-application (52.5 kg P ha–1) drilled with the seed after cultivation (banded).
